Adolf Dassler, or Adi to his mates, started to produce footwear back in the 1920's. Interestingly his Dad Christoph worked in a shoe factory and undoubtedly Adi honed some of his skills from his old man. After WW1 Adi was joined by his brother Rudolf and the company moved forward making sports footwear. The skateboard range is a sub-category of the Original range and takes over the skills and techniques developed over 70 years of shoe building, teaming it up with the requirements of the world's best skateboarders. Mark Gonz, Denis Busenitz, Silas Baxter Neal and Benny Fairfax all provided their requirements and knowledge taken from their sport and helped to make skate shoes with great form and function.
